We're seeking an HCPC-registered Clinical Scientist to join our growing, dynamic hereditary cancer team. You'll take ownership of a key section of our service, interpret complex NGS results, make critical clinical decisions, and communicate insights that directly improve patient care. Your work won't just be science - it'll be transformative healthcare.
What you'll do:
Directly manage your own workload, analysing a wide range of pathological samples and delivering highly accurate results.
Make clinical decisions on testing strategies, interpret findings, and provide reports that directly influence patient care.
Liaise with clinicians to provide expert advice and communicate complex genetic information clearly.
Contribute to quality management, including ISO 15189:2022 and UKAS accreditation standards.
Play a role in training, research, and development, helping implement new technologies and methods.
What we're looking for:
HCPC-registered Clinical Scientist in Molecular Genetics/Genomics.
Completion of an approved Clinical Scientist Training Scheme.
Strong experience with NGS result interpretation and reporting
Excellent knowledge of ISO 15189:2022 standards and UKAS accreditation.
Exceptional communication skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to work independently under pressure.
Team player with a proactive, flexible approach and a commitment to quality.
