AURA Veterinary is a world-renowned centre for excellence in oncology, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine and interventional radiology based in Guildford. The facilities at AURA are state-of-the-art and include four operating theatres, 160 slice CT scanner, with Injector pump, C-arm fluoroscopy unit, Cell-salvage autotransfusion unit, intra-operative imaging with Near-InfraRed Fluorescence (NIRF), Interventional Radiology suite, minimally invasive surgical equipment, cystoscopy/ endoscopy/bronchoscopy, 2 chemotherapy rooms plus hood room, contrast-enhanced ultrasonography (CEUS), digital radiography and full in-house laboratory.

The Role



This role involves providing comprehensive administrative support to clinicians to ensure the efficient and accurate management of correspondence, records, and office operations. Key responsibilities include typing and formatting a range of clinical documents -- such as treatment summaries, reports, and referral letters -- ensuring routine correspondence is distributed within three days. The post holder will also log and upload test results to the patient management system, maintain accurate case records, and support the senior clinicians with travel arrangements, research tasks, and meeting coordination. Attendance at hospital meetings may be required to take and transcribe accurate minutes for distribution. A high level of attention to detail and accuracy in proof-reading is essential. The role also includes managing office supplies and equipment, maintaining up-to-date digital patient files, and providing cover for colleagues during absences. The successful candidate will work collaboratively within the hospital team, adhering to AURA protocols, policies, and Health and Safety regulations. Ongoing professional development through educational opportunities and relevant reading is encouraged, along with undertaking any other duties as required.

Working Pattern



The working pattern for this part-time role is three days per week must include Monday and Tuesday. The hours of work are 09.30 - 17.30 inclusive of a 30-minute lunch. This role is office based.
