Overview of Elanic Hospital:



Our new Elanic Hospital, offers a new private hospital service for Glasgow City Centre and Central Scotland. Situated on Bath Street, the hospital is the expansion of the successful Elanic Clinic which has been undertaking day-surgery since 2013.

The hospital adds two new operating theatres to Elanic's facilities, one of which is an Ultra-Clean laminar flow theatre, capable of joint surgery, and means a total of three operating theatres within the Elanic facilities. In addition to the operating theatre capacity, the hospital adds; five inpatient bedrooms, one of which offers high dependency functionality; a daycase surgery recovery suite; and consulting space.

Elanic Hospital aims to build on the high quality and high patient satisfaction reputation of Elanic Clinic who achieved a 'Good' rating from Healthcare Improvement Scotland in June 2024 and has exceptionally low infection rates.

The hospital offers treatments/procedures in multiple specialties including; Orthopaedic, General, Bariatrics, Plastics/Cosmetics, ENT, Gynaecology, and more.

Overview of Position:



The Clinical Services Manager, along with our Director of Clinical Services, will be responsible for providing clinical direction and strong, professional leadership to all clinical staff including nursing, allied health professionals and medical staff either directly employed or working under practicing privileges along with achieving key safety and operational targets within the hospital by developing and leading a team in delivering exceptional patient safety, customers service and loyalty.

The Clinical Services Manager is responsible for all Patient clinical interaction within the hospital and at all points of the patient /customer journey. This includes ensuring the appropriate treatment and follow up of all customers; and ensuring that best practices are employed throughout the hospital.

The Director of Clinical Services is also responsible the supervision of all clinical activities, both surgical and non-surgical, for ensuring that sufficient , appropriately skilled staff are available and that all materials and equipment required to deliver clinical services are available and fit for purpose. The role also includes ensuring that patient safety checks are carried out in accordance with the policy and that all practitioners adhere to the checks.

Personal Attributes & Skills



Essential:



Evidence of relevant professional development, both clinically, managerially, preferably evidenced by certification RN with valid NMC Registration. Registered Nurse Level 1 / Diploma / BSc in Nursing Studies. Robust understanding of Clinical Governance requirements for the area. Up-to-date knowledge in area of practice. Awareness of NMC Code of Accountability. Recruitment and selection skills. Extensive experience working in an acute hospital setting in a Senior Registered Nurse post or equivalent. Previous experience within a Clinical Lead role. Experience of customer care, including interacting with challenging customers and situations. PC literate with intermediate skills on all Microsoft Office packages. Excellent interpersonal skills, professional demeanour, strong leadership qualities and able to work as part of a team at all levels. A strong focus on customer care. Excellent organisation and time management skills. Analytical skills with a focus on results and an eye for detail. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
