Job Description

The Peninsula Dental School are looking to appoint a proactive and enthusiastic individual to take on the role of Clinical Skills Technician.


About the role





You will provide technical support within the Simulated Dental Learning Environments (SDLE) for the delivery of undergraduate teaching and assessment and will be an integral member of the technical team. You will be working alongside other technicians and will assist on the day-to-day tasks under the direction of the of the SDLE Senior Technician and Technical Manager. You will be line managed and supported by the SDLE Senior Technician.



You will be required to prepare and maintain a variety of dental equipment and consumables. This will include following the timetable and resources lists to prepare and clear away for teaching sessions.



You will be expected to interact with academic/clinical staff and students to assess and fulfil their requirements.



It is not essential for you to have experience with dentistry, we are looking for someone who is hard working, organised and has transferrable skills that you can apply to the role.



This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week on a permanent basis.



Due to the nature of the role, unfortunately we are unable to accommodate working from home.



There is an essential requirement within this role that you will be required to travel to and work at different University sites and/or other business locations that may not be easily accessible by public transport. Please refer to the job description for further information.
