As we expand, were looking for a
Clinical Trainer
to deliver high quality statutory, mandatory, and role specific training for Patient Transport Service Ambulance Care Assistants. You will ensure staff are competent, compliant with the NHS Core Skills Training Framework and Qualsafe EFAW, and equipped to provide safe, compassionate patient transport.
This is a permanent, full-time position working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, based in the Colchester/Ipswich area. The preferred start date for this role is 1 March 2026.
A Typical Day Could See You:
Deliver and access Qualsafe EFAW, CSTF-aligned training, including induction, refresher and practical skills sessions.
Support staff competence in patient handling, infection prevention, basic life support, and role specific duties.
Maintain accurate training records and contribute to continuous improvement of training programmes.
Act as a role model for safe, professional and compassionate care.

What Were Looking For:
Recognised teaching/training qualification e.g. PTLLS/CTLLS, Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) or PGCE / CertEd.
Relevant clinical or patient transport qualification or significant operational experience with PTS (Paramedic, TECH, ECA, ACA).
Assessor qualification (e.g. CAVA/D32/33) or willingness to achieve.
Experience working with Ambulance Care Assistants or within PTS/Ambulance Service.
Experience delivering training or assessing competence in an adult learning environment.
Knowledge and application of the NHS Core Skills Training Framework.
Ability to deliver practical, skills-based training confidently and safely.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to assess competence and manage underperformance.
IT skills to use learning management systems and digital resources.
Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
