Freelance Clinical Trainer / Nurse Trainer - Scotland



Role Description



Slanjava Learning Ltd is seeking an experienced

Freelance Clinical Trainer / Nurse Trainer

to join our growing team delivering high-quality clinical training across the Health and Social Care sector.

You will be responsible for planning, delivering, and evaluating engaging training sessions on a range of clinical subjects to support safe, evidence-based practice.

The role primarily involves

face-to-face delivery

at client sites throughout Scotland and the North of England, with some

virtual training sessions

as required to meet client needs.

Key Responsibilities



Deliver practical clinical training sessions to health and social care professionals. Provide training in line with current best practice, national guidance, and organisational policies. Develop new learning materials and adapt existing content to meet learner and client needs. Assess learner understanding through observation and knowledge checks. Maintain accurate training records and support continuous improvement of training programmes.

Essential Clinical Skills and Subject Expertise



Applicants must have hands-on practical experience and the ability to deliver training in the following areas:

Diabetes Management and Administration of Insulin

Venepuncture

Catheterisation (male, female, suprapubic)

Syringe Driver

PEG Feeding

Suction and Oxygen Therapy

Tracheostomy Care


Requirements



Registered healthcare professional

(e.g. Nurse, Doctor, Paramedic, or Allied Health Professional) with

current professional registration

such as NMC, GMC, or HCPC. Minimum

three years' post-registration experience

in clinical practice within health and social care. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Experience in teaching or assessing learners in clinical settings. Strong knowledge of current clinical standards and best practice. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Access to own car

for travel and

own laptop/projector

for course delivery.

Have own course resources

(e.g. clinical models, equipment, or other training aids) to support high-quality, engaging training delivery.

Qualifications



A recognised

teaching or training qualification

(e.g. AET, PTLLS, CTLLS, or equivalent). Additional CPD or specialist training relevant to clinical practice areas (preferred).

Job Type



Freelance

Daily Rate



250.00 - 350.00 per day (dependent on experience and delivery scope)

Schedule



Typically 09:00 - 17:00, with flexibility required to meet client and course needs.
