Role Overview



We are seeking a

Clinical Trial Engineer

to support the planning, execution, and analysis of clinical or field trials for regulated products and systems.
This role bridges

engineering, clinical/technical validation, quality, and regulatory compliance

, ensuring products are tested safely, effectively, and in line with approved protocols.

The ideal candidate is

hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in regulated environments

, with strong documentation and cross-functional communication skills.

Key ResponsibilitiesClinical / Field Trial Execution



Plan, set up, and support clinical or field trials in line with approved protocols Prepare test rigs, instrumentation, and trial equipment Support on-site or remote trial activity, including troubleshooting technical issues Ensure trials are conducted safely, ethically, and according to regulatory requirements

Engineering & Technical Support



Work closely with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to validate product performance Assist in defining test parameters, acceptance criteria, and success metrics Identify failures, deviations, or anomalies during trials and escalate appropriately Support root cause analysis and corrective actions

Data Collection & Analysis



Capture, verify, and analyse trial data (quantitative and qualitative) Maintain accurate test records, logs, and reports Produce clear technical summaries for engineering, quality, and management teams

Documentation & Compliance



Ensure all trial documentation meets internal quality standards and external regulations Support risk assessments, test protocols, validation reports, and trial close-out documentation Assist with audits, reviews, and regulatory submissions where required

Continuous Improvement



Provide feedback to engineering and product teams to improve design and performance Support refinement of trial processes, test methods, and data capture systems Contribute to lessons-learned reviews and future trial planning

Skills & ExperienceEssential



Engineering or technical background (mechanical, electrical, biomedical, automotive, or similar) Experience supporting trials, testing, validation, or field testing Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and test plans Confident working cross-functionally with engineers, quality, and operations teams

Desirable



Experience in regulated environments (medical devices, automotive, aerospace, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing) Familiarity with validation, verification, or compliance testing Understanding of quality systems (ISO, GMP, SOP-driven environments) Experience with data analysis tools, test equipment, or instrumentation Exposure to clinical or real-world product trials
