We are looking to recruit a Clinical Trials Coordinator within Research and Innovation (R&I) at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) to support research across MFT hospitals. This enthusiastic and self-motivated individual will support research within the Non-Clinical Cross Specialty Team.
This post is offered as a Band 4-5 Development role. The post-holder will join the team at Band 4 AFC salary and progress to Band 5 AFC salary upon successfully completing the competency assessment criteria checklist for the Band 5 role over a minimum of 6 months in post. Depending on experience, the time period for completing the assessment criteria may be extended.
The successful applicant will work closely with a dedicated mentor who will provide robust training to enable them to meet the above competencies within the outlined timeframe.
This post is ideal for anyone who would like to develop and enhance their skills and progress with their research career.
The post-holder will be integral for driving research across adult and paediatric research specialties. The post-holder will need to be flexible and adaptable to support the set up and coordination within any research specialty at MFT, based upon service need. It is essential that the post-holder is willing to travel to all Trust sites.
The post holder will assist the Clinical Trials Manager to ensure and supervise the day-to day activities of administrative staff. This post will also involve line management and performance management.
This post requires excellent interpersonal, IT and organisational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as having the confidence to work independently when required. Strong administrative and IT skills are essential and a familiarity with medical terminology would be advantageous.
Applicants will have attained a degree in a science or health-related discipline, or a degree in another field with experience in clinical trials, or relevant experience.
The post holder will need to be able to work flexibly and independently, and also be willing to travel to other sites in the Trust as required.
