Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Unit Manager to oversee the operations of our care facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in senior care, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care and managing a team of healthcare professionals. This role requires a compassionate leader who is committed to enhancing the quality of life for residents while ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

Manage daily operations of the unit, ensuring high standards of care are maintained for all residents. Week days and Weekend Shifts. Supervise and support staff, fostering a positive team environment and promoting professional development. Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual resident needs, including those with dementia, Alzheimer's, and other disabilities. Oversee medication administration and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate case management and optimise patient outcomes. Maintain accurate documentation and records related to patient care and staff performance. Conduct regular assessments of resident health and wellbeing, adjusting care plans as necessary. Facilitate communication between families, staff, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for residents. Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations within the unit.

Requirements

Proven experience in assisted living or nursing home settings is essential. No Sponsorship. Background in senior care, hospice care, or home care is highly desirable. Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is an advantage. Strong team management skills with previous supervising experience preferred. Knowledge of anatomy and patient care practices is required. Familiarity with ICU experience, dementia care, case management, and medication administration is beneficial. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
