Are you a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist who wishes to make a difference to patients with severe and/or complex mental health difficulties?
We are currently recruiting for a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist which will undertake a key role as part of the Psychological Therapies Team, which is embedded within the wider Adult Mental Health Teams (AMHTs) in North Oxfordshire.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Psychologist with a special interest in Cognitive Analytic Therapy to take on a unique role within Oxfordshire Psychological Therapies Team. This is a full-time development post which will be split between providing specialist psychological assessments and treatments using a range of interventions including CBT to clients referred to the AMHT and undertaking a programme of training and supervised clinical practice which will lead to eventual qualification as a CAT practitioner.
We are also keen to hear from any newly qualified Clinical or Counselling Psychologists as this role can be offered as a development preceptorship post.
You will be part of a Psychological Therapies Team containing a diverse mix of therapists including Psychologists, Psychotherapists, CAT, CBT, and Family Therapists.
You will offer assessment and treatment to adults of working age presenting with complex and enduring mental health problems and personality disorders.
You will also offer support and consultation to non-psychology professionals in formulating cases and delivering psychologically informed work. The post holder will have access to regular supervision and be invited to attend a lively programme including reflective practice groups and a journal club.
We have links with the Oxford Centre for Psychological Health that includes Oxford Centre for Cognitive Therapy (OCTC) and Oxford Institute for Clinical Psychology Training, which is hosted by the Trust.
We actively encourage innovation and research with opportunities for collaborations with the University of Oxford Department of Psychiatry and Department of Experimental Psychology.
Once qualified as a CAT Therapist the post holder will work full time in the North and West Oxon AMHT, providing facilitation of groups as well as seeing patients individually and provide training and supervision to others. There will be some occasional requirement to travel to other bases.
We are also happy to hear from other professionals who can demonstrate how they meet the person specification.
