Are you a dedicated psychologist who enjoys working in a dynamic Multi-disciplinary team to provide treatment and support for clients experiencing Chronic Pain. If so, we have an incredible position ( 3 0 hours) waiting for you.

It is a B and 7/8a developmental post where you will be able to expand your expertise in working with complexities and co-morbidities like Chronic Pain , Fibromyalgia and Long-Covid and really make a difference to how clients are able to engage with the world around them and achieve their goals .

You will be helping service users who've been impacted by physical health symptoms predominantly in the form of pain and fatigue. These individuals experience challenges in how they engage with valued activitie s, the impact of pain on their relationships and the difficulties of living with uncertainty.



You'll be invested in really getting to know what's important to clients and helping them achieve goals alongside supporting and working others within the multi-disciplinary team.



You will be involve d in the provision of assessment, formulation & therapeutic intervention to clients referred to the service in line with the most recent evidence and service model.



You will work in collaboration with other specialists in Chronic Pain and Spinal conditions including Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Medics to deliver specialist interventions to people with ongoing pain . This will include working individually and in groups. In addition, you will support the growing Long Covid service.



You will provide supervision and training to junior staff.



You'll be based at Finchampstead a nd deliver care in a number of premises across the West of Berkshire as required .

The "must haves" for this role:



Post graduate doctoral qualification in clinical or counselling psychology (or equivalent for those who trained prior to 1996 or for those who completed their training overseas) which provides eligibility for Chartered Membership of British Psychological Society (BPS)

Registered and accredited with Health Care Professional Council (HCPC) as a Practitioner Psychologist

Experience of working across the lifespan with Long Term Conditions.
