The Cloakroom Attendant is responsible for running an
efficient, secure, and friendly cloakroom service
. This role plays a key part in guest experience by ensuring coats and belongings are handled carefully, queues move quickly, and guests feel confident their items are safe throughout the event.
This role requires
organisation, accuracy, and calmness under pressure
during busy periods.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience
Greet guests politely and professionally
Provide clear instructions on cloakroom use
Maintain a friendly and calm presence during busy periods
Return items efficiently and with a positive attitude
Cloakroom Operations
Tag, store, and organise coats and belongings accurately
Ensure items are matched correctly to tickets or tags
Manage queues and keep wait times to a minimum
Keep the cloakroom area tidy and organised at all times
Handle lost property according to venue procedures
Safety & Responsibility
Take reasonable care of all items left in the cloakroom
Flag suspicious behaviour or concerns to management
Escalate disputes or issues immediately to the Event Manager
Never leave the cloakroom unattended unless authorised
Set-Up & Clean-Up Duties
Assist with cloakroom set-up before doors open
Prepare rails, tags, signage, and layout
Support clean-up at the end of the event
Help return lost property to the designated area
Operational Support
Communicate clearly with Door Hosts and Event Manager
Support guest flow when the cloakroom becomes busy
Represent the Wonderland / DJW brand professionally

Previous hospitality or customer service experience preferred (not essential)

Pay: 12.21 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 5 per week
