Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong aptitude and a passion for hands-on work. This role involves various tasks related to the inspection of fabric, fabric processing and some warehouse operations, making it essential for candidates to be reliable, willing to learn and with good attention to detail. The Associate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our inspection process runs smoothly and efficiently.

Duties

Inspect rolls of woven fabric, recording all faults, using inspection software to record results and any deviations through the roll. Rectify minor defects, if applicable and tag faults as required by the Product code inspection criteria. Dress faults where applicable. Communicate with Technician in the weaving team at earliest practical point of quality problems. Identify any deviation in uniformity of applied finish. Compare finish against master reference sample. Complete applicable inspection details in the Loomstate Inspection book. Packing and preparing cloth for despatching. Using lifting equipment as per training. Learning to run different pieces of equipment, inspection table, slitting machine, bias cutting machine. Conduct heavy lifting of materials as necessary to support production activities. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety standards. Maintain a clean and organised workspace to promote efficiency and safety.

Experience

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Demonstrated knowledge ganied with the ability to troubleshoot communicate results to neccessary sources. Familiarity with assembly processes and techniques is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly as part of the role. A proactive attitude towards learning new skills and adapting to various tasks within the team.
