B M Howarth Limited is a forward-thinking firm of Chartered Accountants dedicated to delivering modern, efficient, and client-focused solutions. As part of our ongoing digital transformation, we're looking for a Cloud Accounting Software Manager to lead the implementation, optimization, and support of our cloud-based accounting platforms and assist in the continued move toward HMRC's Making Tax Digital initiative.

The Role

As a Cloud Accounting Software Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the integration, customisation, and management of cloud accounting systems such as QuickBooks. You will act as the bridge between finance, operations, and IT to ensure a seamless experience for internal users and clients.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the implementation and configuration of cloud-based accounting software. Manage system integrations with other platforms (e.g., CRM, payroll, billing). Provide technical support and training to users across the organization. Work closely with finance teams to streamline workflows and reporting. Monitor software performance and ensure data accuracy and security. Liaise with suppliers and stay up to date with software updates and new features. Recommend and implement improvements to increase efficiency and scalability.

Requirements

Proven experience with cloud-based accounting platforms (e.g. QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage Cloud). Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial workflows. Experience with system implementation, configuration, and support. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to lead projects and manage cross-functional teams. Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Qualifications

Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is a plus. Experience with API integrations and automation tools (e.g.Power BI, Power Automate). Project management experience.
