Overview

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions that enhance our infrastructure and support our business objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud computing technologies and a passion for optimising systems for performance and reliability.

Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable cloud architectures using platforms such as OpenStack and VMWare. Develop and maintain RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless integration between services. Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate deployment processes and improve CI/CD pipelines. Manage virtualisation technologies to optimise server utilisation and performance. Implement security measures, including VPN configurations, to protect cloud environments. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability of services. Document cloud architecture designs, processes, and best practices for future reference. Stay updated with the latest trends in cloud computing and recommend improvements to existing systems.

Experience

Proven experience in cloud computing environments, with a strong focus on infrastructure management. Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Go for automation tasks. Familiarity with virtualisation technologies and tools (e.g., VMWare). Understanding of networking concepts related to VPNs and secure communications. Experience working in a DevOps environment is highly desirable. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
