Force Effect is a rapidly growing boutique RF systems integration and consultancy business based near Romsey in Hampshire.

We're looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Cloud Engineering Lead to join our team - the role will encompass designing, and implementing scalable and secure cloud solutions, architecture and frameworks. About the Role:

The Cloud Engineering Lead will play a critical role in driving our cloud projects and strategy, building infrastructure that integrates seamlessly with RF/communications data pipelines, supports real-time analytics, and ensures security and performance for our clients in defence and national security. Your day to day to business will be varied but we can see it including:

Architect and implement cloud solutions for ingesting, storing, processing, and visualizing RF signals, communications and telemetry data Integrate cloud systems with hardware and embedded platforms for end-to-end data flow Design highly secure and compliant architectures Develop and optimise scalable cloud-native pipelines Collaborate with RF engineers and software developers to deliver robust cloud infrastructure Provide architectural guidance for hybrid deployments involving edge devices and remote sensors Lead cloud migration initiatives for legacy signal processing platforms Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and RF integration techniques

What We're Looking For:

5+ years in cloud architecture roles, with a strong foundation in AWS, Azure, or GCP, or ideally a combination thereof. Experience supporting RF applications, signal processing workflows, or IoT/edge systems Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, etc.) Familiarity with containerised environments (Docker, Kubernetes) Deep understanding of data security, encryption, access control, and compliance frameworks Experience with real-time or high-throughput data systems (e.g., Kafka, AWS Kinesis, or Google Pub/Sub)
