Are you a highly skilled and proactive Cloud Hosting Engineer with a passion for problem-solving and a deep understanding of cloud technologies?
We're seeking a seasoned technical professional with an excellent understanding of private and public cloud technologies and expertise in infrastructure engineering and related technologies.
You'll work autonomously on implementation, maintenance, and seamless integration across both private and public cloud environments, all while ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
The Role
As a Cloud Hosting Engineer at Heywood, you'll provide expert support for our extensive cloud infrastructure. This involves the strategic implementation and diligent maintenance of our private cloud, ensuring its seamless integration with our public cloud strategy.
What you'll do:
Remotely monitor and maintain private cloud infrastructure for optimal performance
Swiftly respond to and resolve system alerts, collaborating with internal teams and datacentre partners
Resolving customer issues, escalating issues where necessary and responding within agreed SLAs
Provide support and guidance, including explaining technical concepts to non-technical people
Implement and design infrastructure changes and new cloud projects
Manage daily system operations, including OS patching, upgrades, monitoring, and backup processes
Conduct regular Disaster Recovery testing and ensure data integrity
Maintain stringent security and confidentiality, adhering to industry standards
Proactively identify and address potential system downtime
