Lisle Design Ltd is an electronics design and manufacturing business based in Dundee, Scotland, specializing in products for the road transport industry in the UK and Europe. Established in 2006, we have a proud history of in-house innovation, with our products being predominantly designed and developed in-house.
Since February 2021 Lisle Design Ltd has been an employee-owned company, being run for the benefit of current and future employees.
Lisle Design Ltd is now entering a phase of growth and is looking to expand its R&D team by recruiting an individual capable of enhancing and supporting existing products and customers, along with being involved in product innovation, to help the business create its next generation of products.
OPPORTUNITY
We are looking to recruit a Cloud & Integration Engineer to join our team in Dundee. The role will involve designing, building, and maintaining cloud-based systems, APIs, and internal IT infrastructure. You will work with Microsoft Azure, real-time data messaging, and TypeScript-based platforms to deliver robust and secure solutions that integrate with our tachograph-focused products and services.
THE INDIVIDUAL
The successful candidate will need to have:
- Experience with Microsoft Azure services (IoT Hub, Functions, Storage, SQL, security)
- Practical knowledge of MQTT and real-time messaging
- Proficiency in TypeScript / Node.js for backend services
- Solid grounding in API design and REST integration
- Good understanding of IT security, authentication, and identity management
Nice-to-have skills:
- Exposure to React or similar UI frameworks (developer perspective, not as a designer)
- Knowledge of PHP for legacy system support
- Familiarity with DevOps tools (CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with fleet or tachograph data models (optional background knowledge) We are looking for someone who:
- Can translate requirements into practical cloud solutions
- Enjoys mentoring and knowledge sharing
- Is a pragmatic problem-solver, balancing short-term needs with long-term architecture
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 28,000.00-40,000.00 per year
