As our Cloud & IoT Procurement Senior Advisor, you'll lead strategy and supplier partnerships that bring cutting-edge digital solutions into our Production & Operations business. You'll work closely with senior leaders, influence technology adoption, and help shape how bp delivers innovation at scale.
This is a hands-on leadership role with a small global team, focused on building procurement capabilities across emerging categories like digital twins, robotics, additive manufacturing, and computer vision. You'll need to balance technical credibility with storytelling and influence -- helping technologists and executives align around bold ideas and practical execution.
What you'll be doing
Designing and delivering category strategies for Cloud and IoT technologies aligned to bp's Technology Roadmaps.
Building persuasive business cases using cost modelling and value analysis to support transformation.
Leading complex supplier negotiations and managing contracts from initiation to renewal.
Translating business and technical requirements into clear procurement strategies and buying channels.
Implementing supplier performance and relationship frameworks that drive collaboration and results.
ing agile practices to procurement processes to increase speed and adaptability.
Tracking market intelligence to identify new technologies and advise strategic decisions.
What you'll bring
Deep experience in Cloud and/or IoT procurement, with a track record of leading transformation.
Strong analytical thinking and discernment -- you connect data to strategy.
Expertise in category strategy, spend profiling, and cost modelling.
Sophisticated negotiation skills and contract management experience.
Familiarity with agility tools and practices in a procurement context.
Ability to build trust and influence across technical and executive partners.
A collaborative attitude and comfort working across rigors and geographies.
