Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm plus On Call Rota
What you can Expect
In this role, you will have the opportunity to influence the technical approach we take to designing, implementing, and maintaining our digital products.
Working in a hybrid environment with cross functional squads you'll help to establish best practice around continuous integration and deployment, while evangelising automation throughout and taking a proactive approach to ensure performance and stability is maintained.
Some of your key duties will include:
Systems integration and build:
Deploy and maintain critical systems, with a particular focus on automation, ease of configuration, reduction of human error, repeatability and security.
Configuration management:
through automation help design and implement pipelines in the cloud. Using monitoring to measure service performance
Infrastructure Operations:
Utilize infrastructure-as-code to deliver automated, predictable and scalable solutions, infrastructure and services
Solution architecture:
Provides technical guidance and governance on solution development and integration. Evaluates requests for changes and deviations from specifications and recommends actions. Evangelise automated, fault-tolerant and secure developments and practices

Essential Knowledge and Experience
Digital Mindset maximise the capabilities of applications for their role and evaluates and supports the use of new technologies and digital tools
Improvement Mindset Encourages and supports Team discussions on improvement initiatives
Complexity:
Investigating and managing any anomalies to resolution and assisting in wider investigations as required.
Collaboration:
Support and work alongside engineering teams on the latest technologies. Empower development squads to build and deliver software solutions and services
Key skills that will benefit you:
Experience designing and building solutions within Azure
Ability to monitor services, ensuring performance and stability
Deploy a variety of resources in Azure, including IaaS, PaaS, and serverless
Experience with the Hub-Spoke Model
Proficient in cloud orchestration using Terraform and Ansible
Strong knowledge of Kubernetes
Creation and management of CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps
Strong communication and documentation skills
Strong judgment, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Beneficial technical experience:
Linux Administration
Knowledge of Networking
Familiarity with HAProxy
Eventstore
MySQL/MariaDB/Galera
Redis
vSphere / VMWare
