Role Overview:



The Cloud Solutions Architect will be a cornerstone of our technology leadership team, responsible for architecting, building, and overseeing robust, scalable, and secure cloud-based solutions. This role demands deep technical expertise across various cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), a passion for designing resilient and cost-effective architectures, and a strategic mindset. You will play a key role in defining the cloud strategy, ensuring our platforms leverage the full potential of cloud technologies to support the development's diverse digital needs, from enterprise applications to large-scale data analytics and IoT solutions. You will work closely with software engineering teams, DevOps, security, and business stakeholders to deliver outstanding cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:



Design, architect, and implement scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Develop and maintain the overall cloud strategy, including cloud adoption plans, cloud application design, and cloud management and monitoring. Lead the evaluation and selection of appropriate cloud services and technologies to meet specific project and business requirements. Define and enforce cloud architecture standards, best practices, and governance policies across the organization. Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate cloud solutions into CI/CD pipelines and ensure smooth deployment and operation of applications. Architect solutions for data storage, data analytics, machine learning, and IoT on cloud platforms. Ensure cloud solutions are optimized for cost, performance, security, and compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies. Provide expert guidance and technical leadership on cloud architecture to engineering teams and business stakeholders. Conduct regular reviews of existing cloud architectures to identify opportunities for improvement, optimization, and modernization. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud architectures, configurations, and processes. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in cloud computing, new services, and emerging architectural patterns. Mentor other engineers and architects on cloud technologies and best practices. Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues.

Role Competencies & Activities:



Stakeholder Management & Collaboration:



Effectively collaborate with business leaders, product managers, and engineering teams to understand requirements and translate them into robust cloud architectures. Work closely with security teams to ensure cloud solutions meet stringent security and compliance requirements. Liaise with finance and procurement teams on cloud cost management and vendor relationships. Clearly communicate complex cloud architectural concepts, benefits, and risks to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Lead technical discussions and workshops on cloud strategy and design.

Technical Excellence & System Design:



Demonstrate mastery in designing and implementing solutions using IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings from major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP). Proven experience with cloud-native architectures, microservices, serverless computing, and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts (VPCs, subnets, load balancing, DNS, VPNs, firewalls). Expertise in cloud security principles, identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and compliance frameworks. Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM Templates). Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation. Solid understanding of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL) in the cloud and data migration strategies. Ability to design for high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity in the cloud. Experience with cloud monitoring, logging, and cost management tools.

Leadership & Communication:



Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for all cloud initiatives. Lead architectural design reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure solutions align with best practices. Clearly articulate the cloud vision, strategy, and technical roadmaps to diverse audiences. Proactively identify opportunities to leverage cloud capabilities for business innovation and efficiency. Contribute to the development of technical standards, white papers, and architectural blueprints.

Experience & Qualifications:



Skills & Experience:



A minimum of 10-12+ years of professional experience in IT infrastructure and solutions architecture, with Experience in AWS, Azure, or GCP). Proven track record of architecting and delivering complex, large-scale cloud projects. Expert-level knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP), with strong familiarity with the others. Extensive experience with cloud networking, security, identity management, data platforms, and DevOps practices in the cloud. Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code, automation, and configuration management tools. Strong experience with migrating on-premises workloads to the cloud. Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) is a plus. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and strategic thinking skills. Experience working in agile development environments and collaborating with distributed teams.

Qualifications:



Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field. Professional cloud certifications are highly essential (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect). Certifications in networking (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) or security (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are a plus.
