ROLE

You will be in the Utilities domain & consulting team in UK collaborating with internal and customer teams consisting of domain experts, customer side Product Owner, Scrum Master, Solution Architect, Data & Integration Architect and Scrum Team members.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop data architecture and lead the delivery of end-to-end data, integration, reporting solution for Utilities Systems cloud and hybrid hosting.
• Analyse business requirements, conduct data & integration impact analysis.
• Develop enterprise data landscape, conceptual data model and logical data models,
• Develop physical data modelling and database designs.
• Design databases to meet and exceed different nonfictional requirements - High availability, zero data loss, cyber security, high resilience, high performance, structured and un-structured data, time series data with resolution of as low as 10 ms, huge volumetric.
• Design data migration, data quality solution.
• Support Business Analysts and Solutions architects to design the systems.
• Conduct Data base activities such as database creation, management, testing, programming on database, data engineering, reverse data engineering, reporting, analytics, data migration etc.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/ EXP

• Data and Integration Architecture
• Experience in implementation of forecasting systems.
• Expertise in

• Oracle/ MySQL database design and development
• Mongodb / Casandra design and development

• Application of Data science for energy/ electricity forecasting
• Experience in Python, R, mongo db, oracle db based forecasting solution hosted in cloud.
• Experience/ knowledge on Talend, SOA based data integration
• Experience in implementation of reporting and visualization solution using Tableau, Power BI, MS BI.
• Ability to lead and guide data team in the project/ program and get the work done.

• Logical Data Model and Physical Data Model
• Data Definition and Integration specification
• DDL, DML, DCL, TCL concepts and scripting

• Data Entity and Attribute Definition Data constraints, validation rules, consistency and defaulting rules Tools Sparx EA, SQL developer, Toad etc.
• Database programming - PL/ SQL and similar ones
• European Network Codes related to Electricity - FCA, CACM, EBGL, SOGL, RfG, HVDC and DCC

ADDITIONAL SKILLS/ EXP

• Any experience in gas metering market including knowledge on system operations, transmission, distribution, generation and consumption, suppliers, interconnectors, regulator, settlement providers, standards bodies.
• Experience in conceptual data modelling, logical data modelling, physical data modelling, electric network modelling, asset modelling, energy modelling, unified modelling, canonical modelling etc.
• Experience in operations systems such as EMS/ NMS, DH, SCADA, Network Modelling & Analysis, ratings systems and market systems such as ETRM, energy modelling, contracts, settlements & billing etc.
• knowledge on Balancing services, Ancillary services, demand side response.
• Knowledge on European Network Codes and Single Electricity Market Implementation.
• Experience on database technologies. Use of tools such as SPARX Enterprise Architect.
• Experience in business process consulting, requirements analysis, impact analysis, gap analysis, data analysis, data migration, data quality, solution analysis etc. Enterprise Integration, IT-OT integration. Webservice based integration, Data link integration, API integrations etc.
