Job Summary


We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Club Technical Manager to manage, maintain and operate the audio, lighting and safety equipment within the Venue and to maintain and support a safe working environment for all staff, clients and customers. The Club Technical Manager will be expected to work 3 to 4 evenings/ nights per week (including weekends).

Key Tasks / accountabilities



1) To operate and maintain audio, lighting and SFX equipment at the venue on events.

Operating Sound and/or Lights within the venue on events. By ensuring the technical specification is kept current, planned maintenance and scheduled inspections are completed. Defects or issues reported to Line Managers for service/ maintenance. Ensuring the venue is kept in a presentable/ working manner. Making sure the client and customer satisfaction is of the highest based on feedback from production and customers.
2) To work with the venue management on event quality and delivery

Liaising with venue management/ promoters and clients on technical advances for the venue. Weekly meetings/ discussions with the venue management on operations. Attend site visits with potential clients.
3) Booking and full training and induction of high-quality Sub-contractors in sound and light positions, where required.

Feedback from Venue Manager/ Head of Technical on sub-contractor performance. That the sub-contractors are fully qualified and full pre-screening is completed. Staff rotas are completed on time.
4) Maintaining a safe working environment for staff and artists.

Regular checks of all safety equipment. Weekly reports of all equipment. Anything unsafe to be removed from site with immediate effect.

Skills & Experiences Required for the role:



1) Leadership/ management experience

2) Experience in working in and with a team

3) Excellent knowledge of Professional audio and lighting systems

4) Good working knowledge of Video, Pyro/ SFX systems

5) Excellent IT Skills

6) Good working knowledge of Health and Safety regulations

Operating Environment and the context of the job



You will be expected to be a consistent presence within the venue operation and have a broad understanding of all production aspects which are installed within the venue.

You need to be skilled in both Audio and Lighting positions and have good working knowledge of safety protocols that need to be carried out on a day-to-day basis within those fields, whilst also have an understanding of Pyro/ SFX

You are to deliver all events that are to be undertaken within the venue itself in line with the rest of the venue team ensuring that all production elements are delivered to its highest potential.

Weekly maintenance and checks to be carried out and if major faults are shown within any of the equipment, they are to be reported to Line management and removed from the installation.

Weekly meetings with the rest of the venue management to discuss present and future events and assist with all technical advances and outsource production should it be requested.

Professional sub-contractors are to be hand-picked to work alongside this position to deliver events and be managed by the Club Technical Manager.

Pay: 40,000.00 per year
