Job Description

The Role:

We are looking for a skilled and reliable CMT Machine Operative to join our garment production team. You will operate industrial straight stitch sewing machines and automated sewing machines to assemble garments or add confection to textile products according to production specifications. This role is essential in ensuring high quality output and maintaining efficient production flow in the CMT department.

Key Responsibilities, Skills and Qualifications:

Operate industrial sewing machines (Straight stitch, overlocker, merrow etc) to stitch garments according to design and production specifications to a very high level of quality and efficiency.

High level of hand stitch capability.

Follow SOPs, tech packs or sample garments to ensure accuracy.

Inspect materials and work for quality defects and log issues.

Effective lay cutting to reduce all wastes.

Perform minor machine maintenance (threading, cleaning, oiling) and reporting faults to maintenance.

Previous experience operating industrial sewing machines in a textile or garment factory preferred.

Good understanding of garment textile construction and stitching techniques.

Schedule:

Full Time Contract (37 hours), working to a monthly planned schedule.

Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 16:30pm

Friday 7:30-12:30pm

Overtime or weekend work may be required during peak production periods.

Supplemental pay types:

Pay: From 12.60 per hour

Expected hours: 37 per week
