We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in a practical environment while developing their skills in tooling, fabrication, and materials handling. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced professionals, gaining valuable insights into warehouse operations and mechanical processes.
Duties
Assist in the fabrication of components using various hand tools and machinery.
Participate in materials handling tasks, ensuring efficient movement and storage of products within the warehouse.
Operate milling machines and other equipment under supervision, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Support the design and modification of components using CAD software, including SolidWorks.
Apply basic maths skills to assist in measurements and calculations relevant to projects.
Collaborate with team members to maintain an organised and clean workspace.
Learn about mechanical systems and processes, contributing to troubleshooting and maintenance activities as required.
Requirements
For Level 2: the requirement is 5 GCSE's
Level 3: The requirement is 2 A levels
A keen interest in mechanical knowledge and a desire to learn about tooling and fabrication processes.
Familiarity with CAD software, particularly SolidWorks, is advantageous but not essential.
GCSE maths is required for accurate measurements and calculations.
Experience using hand tools is beneficial; however, training will be provided for those new to the field.
Ability to work effectively within a team environment while also demonstrating initiative when required.
Willingness to engage in various tasks within the warehouse setting, including lifting and moving materials as necessary.
