CNC - Centreless Grinder

We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC - Centreless Grinder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC-controlled centreless grinding machines to produce high-precision components for various industries. This full-time position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in machining and quality control.

Key Responsibilities

Operate CNC-controlled centreless grinding machines to produce precision parts according to engineering specifications Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions Set up and adjust grinding machines, including wheel dressing, work rest blade positioning, and regulating wheel adjustments Program and optimise CNC grinding cycles for efficient production Perform in-process quality checks using various measuring equipment Maintain accurate records of production data, quality control measurements, and machine maintenance Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to grinding processes and machine operation Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to improve processes and product quality Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organised work area Train and mentor junior operators as needed

Required Skills and Qualifications

Proven experience as a CNC Centreless Grinder operator (minimum 3-5 years) Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints Strong knowledge of CNC programming and operation for centreless grinding machines Expertise in setting up and operating CNC-controlled grinding machines Ability to perform accurate in-process checks using various measuring equipment, including: + Micrometers
+ Shadow graphs
+ Laser micrometers
+ Digital calipers
Familiarity with grinding wheel selection, dressing, and maintenance Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or relevant certifications are a plus For more information please contact the team at Recra.
