River Woodwork Ltd is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented
CNC & Edge Bander Operator
to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating CNC machinery to produce precision wood components and ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate edge bander.
Operate CNC machines to cut, shape, and finish wood components according to specifications.
Using CNC machine programs & creating small, one-off programs.
Read and interpret technical drawings and CAD files.
Set up and adjust CNC machines, selecting appropriate tools and materials.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machinery.
Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
Collaborate with the design and production teams to optimize manufacturing processes.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
Document and report any discrepancies or issues with the production process.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a CNC Operator, preferably in a woodworking or manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
Strong understanding of CNC programming and operation.
Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and woodworking machinery.
Knowledge of tooling and tool paths.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills and a commitment to quality and safety.
