We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience with various machining processes, including Milling, Turning, Grinding, EDM. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and programming CNC machines to produce precision components, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the manufacturing process. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities
Operate CNC machines, including milling and turning centres, to manufacture components according to specifications.
Set up tooling and fixtures for machining processes, ensuring optimal performance and accuracy.
Utilise CAD software, to interpret technical drawings and create programmes for CNC operations.
Perform regular maintenance on machinery and tools to ensure proper functioning and longevity.
Assemble components as required, applying knowledge of mechanical assembly techniques.
Conduct quality control checks on finished products using precision measuring instruments.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve manufacturing processes.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Experience
Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in using power tools and equipment related to machining processes.
Familiarity with tooling techniques, grinding, welding, and plastics injection moulding is advantageous.
Strong understanding of mechanical principles and the ability to read technical drawings accurately.
Experience with CAD software is essential; SolidWorks experience is highly desirable.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are crucial for success in this role.
