We are recruiting for an experienced CNC Milling Machinist in Hailsham

We are looking for a skilled

machinist

with strong

mechanical experience to join our workshop hands-on dynamic team in Hailsham.

We work with customers across energy, healthcare, construction and mechanical engineering and are forward thinking and solutions orientated. This is a full time permanent position.

The successful candidate will set-up and operate multiple CNC machines and processes in our workshop on 3 axis milling machines and you will already be experienced on this type of machine with Heidenhain and Siemens controls

Your role as a Machinist

Perform precision machining operations using both manual and CNC equipment. Interpret technical drawings and work to exact tolerances. Repair, overhaul, and re-manufacture components to the highest quality standards. Inspect components, identify faults, and ensure work meets specifications. Collaborate with workshop and field teams to support customer needs. Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient working environment.

Experience required

Previous experience as a

machinist

in an engineering, industrial, or manufacturing environment. Strong

mechanical experience

and knowledge of machining practices, tooling, and materials. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and precision in your work. Experience with

lathes, milling machines, grinding, or similar equipment.

Proven skills in a multi-axis/complex machining environment. Attention to detail, accuracy, and process improvement techniques.

Pay: Negotiable. Overtime at time and a half

Monday - Thursday 0730-1630 (30 minute paid break)

Friday 0730-1330 (30 minute paid break)
