About the Role



As a CNC Machinist that specializes in CNC milling processes & machine tools , you will strive to produce world class quality, precision machined components from raw material stage to completed product. You will take a customer service approach, both internal and external, with a view that the technical services you provide are there to support the efficient management of your workspace and component production. You will be responsible for your own productivity output, utilizing various manufacturing processes and disciplines, including horizontal milling and vertical milling. As a CNC Machinist you will be keen to take on challenges, develop your technical skills potential as well as expand your knowledge and experience through a variety of exciting initiatives.


About the Role



Located in our Machine Centre at NOV Kintore and reporting to the Cell Leader, the CNC Machinist (Milling) is responsible for programming and operating CNC milling machines. With a customer service approach, the successful candidate will specialize in machining high precision components for the Energy and Oil & Gas industry. Prior experience and knowledge in this field are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities



Operate designated CNC milling machines safely and competently, maintaining HSE and housekeeping standards Interpret engineering drawings to manufacture components within set tolerances Plan and schedule workloads according to production requirements Complete setup sheets, save programs, and perform general maintenance Promote adherence to company objectives, policies, procedures, and 5S principles Comply with inspection criteria and report any discrepancies or quality issues Attend and contribute to toolbox talks and daily briefings Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process performance and reduce costs Accurately record work-in-progress time entries and assist in root cause investigations

Qualifications & Skills



Proficient in CNC milling operations, including horizontal and vertical milling Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Familiar with programming CNC machines and optimizing tooling solutions Experience with quality assurance procedures and documentation Competent in planning workloads and managing machine productivity

Interpersonal Skills



Strong customer focus with both internal and external stakeholders Collaborative team player with effective communication skills Quick to identify and resolve technical and process issues Positive, proactive attitude toward continuous learning and improvement
