QA Weld Tech, an Oil & Gas equipment manufacturer based in the North East of England. With over 40 years of experience in manufacturing critical subsea components and systems, we excel in providing our customers with the specialised products we produce.

This is a fantastic time to join us at QA Weld Tech. We we are part of the Express Engineering Group who employ over 300 employees across their two Company's, Express Engineering (Fabrications) (trading as QA Weld Tech) and Express Engineering (Gateshead).

We are looking for a number of CNC Machinists to join our production team and currently have vacancies for the following skill sets:

CNC Turner with Fanuc Manual Guide i setting/programming experience Millers with Heidenhain setting/programming experience

To be successful in this CNC Machinist role at QA Weld Tech you will:

Be time served CNC machinist with turning or milling experience. Experience of working in a CNC Machining / Industrial Engineering environment Have experience of programming and operating machines to produce product of the required quality standards and specification. Have an understanding of tolerances, geometric tolerances, and surface finishes Have the ability to use measuring equipment such as micrometres, verniers, plug gauges, screw plugs and ring gauges Be familiar with a wide range of materials including Non-Ferrous, Aluminium, Alloy Steel, Stainless Steel, Inconel, and Titanium Have a can-do attitude and work well with others in a team environment Be flexible in your approach - willing to work overtime when required to suit customer requirements Be willing to increase your knowledge and train on other machining processes Be willing to pass on your knowledge and train others

Hours of Work

We offer a variety of shift patterns including:

Standard Dayshift Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 4:30, Friday 0730 to 1330

Rotating Shifts:

Dayshift: Monday to Thursday 6:00am to 2:30pm, Friday 6:00am to 12:00pm

Nightshift: Monday to Thursday 6:00pm to 3:30am

Permanent nightshift may also be available.
