Salary:

32,000.00 starting salary based on experience and qualifications.

Hours:

42.5 hours - 5 days per week to be worked over 7 days in accordance with the weekly rota (Opening hours are Monday to Friday, from 7am to 6pm Saturday and Sunday 9am to 5pm)

About Us



We are the UK manufacturing partner for L.A.B. Golf USA, and we are expanding our operations in Warrington with the introduction of new CNC machinery, including a HAAS DM-1 5-Axis Mill. We are seeking an experienced and motivated CNC Machinist/Programmer to join our growing machine shop.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art technology, producing high-precision components for performance-engineered golf products within a dynamic, quality-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities



Set up and operate CNC machines: Prepare and program the HAAS DM-1 5-Axis Mill, ensuring efficiency, precision, and repeatability. Monitor and adjust machine performance: Maintain production quality by fine-tuning feeds, speeds, tooling, and coolant flow. Inspect components for accuracy: Conduct first-off and self-inspections to confirm parts meet required tolerances and specifications. Troubleshoot and resolve issues: Diagnose and address mechanical, tooling, or programming challenges effectively. Collaborate with engineers: Work with production engineers to optimise setups, tooling, and machining processes. Support continuous improvement: Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of efficiency, precision, and workflow. Maintain safety and compliance: Adhere to company Health & Safety and Environmental policies, ensuring a clean and organised workspace.

Requirements and Qualifications



Minimum of three years' CNC machining experience or completion of a relevant apprenticeship. Proven experience programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines, ideally with 5-axis experience. Proficiency with HAAS control systems (experience with Fanuc or Heidenhain advantageous). Competence using CAD/CAM software, ideally Autodesk Fusion 360, for offline programming. Ability to interpret detailed engineering drawings and tolerances. Familiarity with precision machining for small-batch or prototype production. Knowledge of tooling, work-holding, and measurement equipment. Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a results-driven attitude. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Flexibility to work additional hours when required. Full Right to Work in the United Kingdom is essential.
Due to limited public transport links, applicants must have access to their own vehicle.

Main Responsibilities & Accountabilities



Operate and maintain the HAAS DM-1 5-Axis Mill to produce precision components to exacting quality standards. Communicate effectively with Team Leaders regarding production and quality matters. Support operators and apprentices with machine setups and best practices. Load, verify, and optimise CNC programs; maintain documentation and setup sheets. Assist with tooling requirements and process improvement initiatives. Ensure excellent housekeeping and workshop organisation. Promote efficiency and continuous improvement across all machining activities.
