We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-precision components. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background and experience in various machining techniques. The position involves working with diverse materials, including plastics and metals, and requires a keen eye for detail to ensure quality standards are met consistently.
Responsibilities
Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines to produce specified parts in accordance with technical drawings and specifications.
Interpret technical drawings and CAD files using SolidWorks and other CAD software to programme machining operations.
Perform turning milling, and other machining processes to achieve precise dimensions and surface finishes.
Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC equipment to minimise downtime.
Use hand tools, power tools, and tooling equipment safely and effectively during machining and assembly processes.
Assist with assembly, and integration of machined components as required.
Apply basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and quality control checks.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area in compliance with safety standards.
Collaborate with team members to improve manufacturing processes and optimise productivity.
Requirements
Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in operating CNC machinery with knowledge of programming languages such as G-code.
Strong mechanical knowledge, including familiarity with tooling, hand tools, power tools, and techniques.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and technical specifications accurately.
Good understanding of basic maths for measurements, calculations, and quality assurance purposes.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Relevant qualifications or certifications in machining or mechanical engineering are preferred but not essential. This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills within a dynamic manufacturing setting while contributing to the production of high-quality components.
