We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer/Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of CNC machinery and programming, with the ability to create precise and efficient programmes for various machining processes. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, mechanical knowledge, and problem-solving skills to ensure high-quality production outcomes.
Responsibilities
Develop and optimise CNC programmes for milling and other machining processes.
Interpret technical drawings and CAD files to assemble accurate machining instructions.
Utilise SolidWorks and other CAD software to design tooling and fixtures as needed.
Conduct routine maintenance on CNC machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production.
Collaborate with the engineering team to improve manufacturing processes and efficiency.
Perform materials handling tasks, ensuring proper storage and usage of materials in line with safety protocols.
Apply basic maths skills to calculate dimensions, tolerances, and material requirements accurately.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations while operating machinery.
Experience
Proven experience in CNC programming, particularly with milling machines.
Familiarity with logic controllers and their application in CNC operations.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex machinery functions.
Experience in welding is advantageous but not essential.
Proficiency in CAD software, especially SolidWorks, is highly desirable.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
