Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic team, hourly rate to be decided by experience and competency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating CNC machinery and a keen eye for detail. This role involves producing precision components by interpreting technical drawings and specifications, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the manufacturing process.

OVERTIME PAID AT 1.5x HOURLY RATE AVAILABLE.

HOURS - MON-THURS: 7:30-16:45. FRI 7:30-12:30.

Responsibilities

Operate and programme CNC milling machines to produce parts according to specifications - Preferable experience with Hurco WINMAX MUST have the ability to work independently, programming in WINMAX Proficient in working with fabricated parts that need to be machined Comfortable with working to times Familiar with high volume 1off jobs, creating machined parts for bespoke machinery Interpret technical drawings and CAD models to set up machinery accurately. Perform regular maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance. Use basic maths skills to calculate dimensions and tolerances required for machining processes. Utilise hand tools and power tools for finishing processes such as grinding. Collaborate with team members to improve production efficiency and quality control. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Skills

Proficient in operating CNC milling machines and/or lathes. Strong understanding of tooling techniques and the ability to select appropriate tools for specific tasks. Competence in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and adjustments during machining processes. Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work consistently.
