We are looking for an experienced CNC Miller Programmer to join our team in Peterborough. The ideal candidate will have practical experience with CNC machining, with familiarity in Fanuc or Heidenhain controls being advantageous. Knowledge of CAD/CAM software is also preferred.

Overview: The role involves operating and maintaining CNC milling machinery to produce high-precision components. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, your expertise in mechanical operations, CAD, and SolidWorks will be crucial for delivering quality manufacturing. Skills in programmable logic controllers, tooling, materials handling, along with attention to detail, assembly, and welding experience, will contribute significantly to our production efficiency. Main Responsibilities:

Operate CNC milling machines to produce accurate parts according to specifications Design and modify components using CAD software and SolidWorks Perform fabrication tasks such as welding and assembly, ensuring adherence to quality standards Handle materials and tools safely, following all safety protocols Troubleshoot and maintain programmable logic controllers to ensure maximum machine uptime Collaborate with colleagues to optimize production processes and workflows
Required Qualifications and Skills:

Strong mechanical skills and understanding of fabrication methods Proficiency in SolidWorks and other CAD applications Experience with CNC milling and programmable logic controllers Knowledge of materials handling, assembly, and welding techniques Basic math skills and familiarity with hand tools Understanding of tooling practices and welding procedures
