We are seeking a skilled CNC Miller to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in programming, setting and operating CNC Milling machines. This role is crucial for producing high-quality components with precision and efficiency. The candidate will work closely with other team members to ensure that production goals are met while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines to produce components according to specifications and drawings.
Programming using Heidenhain/Mazatrol control systems
Set up and adjust tooling, fixtures, and workpieces for optimal machining performance.
Conduct regular inspections of finished products to ensure adherence to quality standards.
Perform basic maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any operational issues.
Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret CAD designs and implement necessary modifications.
Handle materials safely and efficiently within the warehouse environment.
Maintain accurate records of production output and report any discrepancies or issues to management.
Skills & Experience:
2 years+ previous experience Programming, Setting and Operating milling CNC machines
Ideally experienced with using Heidenhain and/or Mazatrol control systems
Background producing CNC machined components to a high standards
Experience of milling ferrous and non ferrous materials to tight tolerances
Good time keeping
Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings is essential
Carrying out first off inspection checks
Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to use hand tools effectively.
