About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced

CNC Miller Programmer

to join our growing team in Thirsk. Working within a dynamic and supportive engineering environment, you'll be responsible for the programming, setting, and operating of

HAAS CNC milling machines

to manufacture precision components, primarily for the

automotive sector

.

You'll play a key role in the end-to-end manufacturing process, from CAD/CAM programming through to machining, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Program CNC milling machines using

Hypermill

and

Fusion360

Set up and operate

HAAS CNC mills

Interpret engineering drawings and CAD models to develop machining strategies Carry out in-process inspection to ensure components meet customer specifications Work closely with the production and engineering teams to optimise workflow and reduce lead times Maintain tools, fixtures, and equipment in good working condition Ensure adherence to health and safety policies and quality standards

Essential Skills & Experience:

Proven experience as a CNC Miller Programmer, ideally with HAAS machines Proficient in using

CAD/CAM software (Hypermill and/or Fusion360)

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and 3D models Strong knowledge of machining principles, tolerances, and materials Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable:

Experience in automotive or precision engineering sectors Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices
