Full Time - Shift Work & Overtime (3-11pm Mon-Fri)

NSM are a privately owned company established for over 25 years. We supply high level CNC machining services to world renowned Formula One and Aerospace clients and continue to seek engineering excellence on their behalf.
Job Purpose:
To operate CNC milling machines to produce precision-engineered components according to technical drawings and quality standards. You will be a key member of the manufacturing team whilst also reporting in to the wider company. The CNC Miller will be responsible for setting and operating, 3, 4, & 5 axis mills for precision low volume production.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and setting of 3 & 4 axis YCM, and 5-axis DMG & Haas CNC mills.
Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Use of measuring equipment to perform in-process checks
Maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish quality to tight tolerances.
Light maintenance and machine cleaning duties
Troubleshoot machine or tooling issues and collaborate with the engineering or Quality Assurance Teams when necessary.
Comply with all health and safety regulations, quality control procedures, and company policies.
Skills & Qualifications:
Essential:
Proven experience as a CNC machinist in a highly skilled manufacturing environment.
Experienced with Siemens and Heidenhain controls.
Experience in producing complex parts to tight tolerances.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings with a good working knowledge of GD&T
Strong understanding of cutting speeds, feeds, and materials.
Familiarity with standard precision measuring instruments.
Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to interact with the wider team
Desirable:
Time served apprenticeship.
Qualifications in CNC machining.
Experience with CAM software or offline programming.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
Working Conditions:
Workshop/production floor environment.
May involve shift work or overtime depending on production schedules.
Use of PPE required.
