Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated
CNC Operator
to join our production team on the afternoon shift. The successful candidate will play a key role in machining timber doors and frames to exact specifications, ensuring high levels of accuracy, efficiency, and quality at all times. The successful candidate will have the possibility to lead the newly formed afternoon shift team depending on experience
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machinery for machining doors, frames, and associated joinery components
Programme and operate Holzher and Homag CNC machines
Read and interpret technical drawings, measurements, and job sheets
Perform routine machine checks, tool changes, and basic maintenance
Ensure all products meet quality standards and specifications
Keep accurate records of production and material usage
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
Work collaboratively with the production team to meet deadlines
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
Previous experience operating CNC machinery (ideally in joinery, furniture, or similar manufacturing)
Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring tools
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Good problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
