Due to continued company growth and new trade contracts, we are seeking an Experienced CNC Operator to join our talented production team.
The Role
We're looking for a skilled and experienced CNC Operator with a strong background in the stone industry. The successful candidate will have proven ability in operating and maintaining CNC machinery, with an emphasis on precision, safety, and quality workmanship.
You will play a key role in the production of bespoke worktops, ensuring each piece meets our exacting standards for craftsmanship and finish.
Key Responsibilities
Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machinery for cutting, shaping, and polishing stone surfaces.
Ensure machines are correctly calibrated and safely operated throughout production.
Load materials and monitor cutting processes to meet required tolerances and specifications.
Adjust tool paths, speeds, and feeds for optimal quality and efficiency.
Inspect finished components for accuracy and quality before moving to the next production stage.
Maintain accurate records of operations, production output, and maintenance activity.
Perform routine checks and report any mechanical or safety issues promptly.
Follow all company and industry health and safety standards.
Work collaboratively with production and installation teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
Requirements
Proven CNC operating experience -- ideally within the stone or solid surface industry (minimum 2 years).
Strong mechanical aptitude and technical understanding of CNC operations.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Capable of working efficiently within a fast-paced production environment.
Forklift licence desirable but not essential.
Flexibility to work additional hours during peak production periods.
