Operating from our bespoke 16000 sq/ft facility in Hethel we offer CNC Turning multi-axis Mill-Turning, and 3, 4 and 5 Axis CNC Milling services for the Space, Aerospace, Defence, and Motorsport sectors.

Due to continued growth and expansion, we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Trainee Fanuc Milling Operator; the candidate would need to have an evident interest in CNC manufacturing. As a CNC operator you would be expected to be open to learning about manufacturing environments and assisting the flow of work through the machine shop.

This role gives the successful candidate the chance to gain experience in setting, machine maintenance, and, in due course, programming.

This is a full-time position, with pay negotiable depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:



Predominantly loading and operating Fanuc CNC milling machines (workload may require the candidate to operate other machines).

Machine components to conform to customer drawings and requirements.

Monitoring cutting tools and ensuring they are in good condition and equipment is calibrated and maintained.

Ensure timely completion of tasks, sometimes involving overtime

Ensure the quality of personal work produced, including in cycle measuring.

Enforcing quality standards and liaising with the dedicated Quality Inspector.

After appropriate training, assisting with Programming / Setting activities.

Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies.

Learning about the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment.

Providing assistance to senior staff and other work cells.

Providing holiday cover where necessary.

Qualifications and Skills:



GCSE (or equivalent) pass in Maths and English - level 4 or above.

An engineering qualification would be a distinct advantage.

Keen interest in engineering and CNC manufacturing.

Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Desirable:



Apprenticeship or formal training in CNC machining or a related field.

Knowledge of reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.

Familiarity with precision measuring tools and quality control processes.

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles, desirable, but not essential.

Familiarity with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
