We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist from within the mould and die sector to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be proficient in programming, setting and operating CNC machinery to produce high-quality components. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyse, modify and produce 3D models in order to create and edit machining programs using Hexagon Visi (other software considered). Set and operate Hurco CNC machines with minimal supervision, ensuring the highest quality of work. Selecting machine operations, setting the machine tools required for each as well as the feeds and speeds. Read and interpret engineering drawings to produce quality components using a variety of materials. Using basic inspection equipment to check parts against tolerances. Maintain general workshop housekeeping, machine maintenance, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Maintain an accurate time sheet Stay up to date with the latest tooling and machining techniques to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Qualifications/Experience

Must Have:

GCSE Math and English or equivalent. Minimum of 5 years experience within the Toolmaking industry. Wax Pattern Tooling or Plastic Injection Tools. Proficiency in producing CNC programs Competency operating CNC machines and associated workshop tools and equipment Ability to work with various materials; Aluminium, Steel, Brass, Graphite Ability to work safely and independently while managing multiple tasks. Excellent attention to detail and problem solving Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Reliable time keeping and organizational skills
Would Ideally Have:

Experience running Hurco CNC Milling Machines Experience using Hexagon Visi CAD/CAM software

Up to 23 per hour depending on experience. 1.5 x pay for overtime hours. Company pension. 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays Flexible working schedule. Training on Hexagon Software
