NFF Precision Ltd are seeking a CNC miller, whose responsibilities will be to program, set and operate a Heidenhain 3 axis CNC milling machine. On occasion, some programs will be provided by inhouse offline programmers, it is anticipated that you shall also set and run these programs whilst appropriately liaising with the lead programmer.
Reading and understanding technical drawings, route cards and specifications will be of second nature to achieve the customers' requirements.
You will need to have ownership of your work and embrace the right first time philosophy.
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for ensuring jobs you have programmed, set and run conform to the customers' requirements and have been processed inline with the relevant quality / regulatory requirements.
You shall check your own work prior to inspection submission and be confident in doing this.
You will also be responsible for manufacturing components within the required timescales to keep up with the production demand.
Essential Attributes:
Relevant Engineering Qualification
Ability to program, set and operate Heidenhain CNC milling machines.
Inspect own work for compliance using precision measuring equipment.
Ability to read and interpret route cards, drawings, and specifications.
Keen eye for detail.
Good communication skills.
Computer literate.
Good problem-solving skills.
Able to work as part of a team and independently.
Proactive and self-motivated with the desire to achieve.
Ownership.
Desirable Attributes:
Previous experience working within the Aerospace & Defence industries.
Previous experience of working with multi-axis CNC machines.
Good understanding of quality control principles
Understanding of 5s process
Ability to program, set and operate Mazak CNC Machines.
Understanding of business improvement techniques
A Full clean UK driving licence

07.30 to 16.30 Monday to Thursday
