Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in fabrication and machining processes, with the ability to create precise programmes for CNC machinery. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and practical experience, ensuring that our production processes run smoothly and efficiently.

Duties



Develop and optimise CNC programmes for milling and other machining operations. Interpret technical drawings and CAD models to ensure accurate fabrication of components. Operate CNC machines, including setting up tooling and fixtures for production runs. Conduct regular maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot programming issues and implement improvements. Utilise SolidWorks and other CAD software to design and modify parts as required. Perform materials handling and assembly tasks as necessary within the production environment. Ensure compliance with safety standards while operating machinery and handling tools.

Skills



Proficient in fabrication techniques and processes, with hands-on experience in milling operations. Strong understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and their integration with CNC machinery. Familiarity with SolidWorks, CAD software, and mechanical design principles. Excellent mechanical knowledge, including the use of hand tools for assembly and repair tasks. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations relevant to machining processes. Previous warehouse experience is advantageous, particularly in a manufacturing setting. Knowledge of tooling requirements for various machining operations is essential. Experience in welding is a plus, enhancing versatility within the role.
