GLOBE Manufacturing Ltd established over 70 years ago in the Brentwood area is an engineering and manufacturing company. The company exports around 70% of its products within Europe, with specialist raw materials being sourced from the USA and Asia.

The company is currently looking for a CNC Programmer/Turner. A big part of our business is CNC Machining, and due to expansion, we require a machinist to be added to our team. You will work with 40-50 colleagues in a growing and evolving company.

The Role:

Operate CNC Turning machines. Read and interpret engineering drawings Perform quality checks to ensure parts meets exact tolerances using both metric and imperial measuring equipment. Set up machines Create machining plans, Write CNC programs Maintain a clean and tidy workplace Adhere to the company's health and safety standards
Requirements:

Proven experience as a CNC Turner Solid background, working with metal components including Steel, Aluminium, Castings and Forgings Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Strong attention to detail and a can do mind set Be responsible for the programming and proving out first offs Be responsible for deburring and manually finishing parts where required Possess the ability to set up bar feeders for unmanned running
Desirable:

Experience with a variety of CNC controls (Fanuc, Mazak ) Familiarity with different industrial sectors Ability to work on own initiative. Minimum of 5 years' experience programming lathes Apprenticeship trained
