Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced

CNC Punch Operator

with strong knowledge of tooling and the ability to operate CNC punching equipment independently. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of producing high-quality parts with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and maintain CNC punch press machines to produce sheet metal components according to engineering drawings and specifications. Select, install, and adjust tooling to ensure proper machine performance and part quality. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders. Monitor machine operations, make necessary adjustments, and perform quality checks using precision measuring tools. Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine or tooling issues independently. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety policies and procedures. Accurately record production data, part counts, and inspection results. Perform routine machine maintenance and notify supervisors of any major repairs needed.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a CNC Punch Operator in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of punch press tooling, setup, and maintenance. Ability to operate machines independently with minimal supervision. Skilled in reading blueprints and using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.). Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Preferred Skills

Experience with

Amada CNC punch press machines

ideal. Knowledge of basic CNC programming and adjustments. Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
