Job Description

The Production Lead will be responsible for the efficient operation of the engineering cutting shop, including scheduling, pricing, estimating, and coordinating jobs. This role requires strong technical knowledge of SigmaNEST software, the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, and hands-on skills in CNC machine programming and operation.

Key Responsibilities



Plan, schedule, and prioritise jobs in the cutting shop to meet customer and production deadlines. Prepare accurate quotations and cost estimates for cutting jobs. Use SigmaNEST software for nesting, programming, and optimisation of cutting layouts. Operate and maintain CNC cutting machines as required Monitor job progress, quality, and efficiency in the cutting shop. Liaise with production, engineering, and sales teams to confirm job details Maintain safe working practices and ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements. Support continuous improvement initiatives in efficiency, quality, and cost reduction. Proven experience in a cutting shop or related engineering environment. Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with

SigmaNEST

software. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Experience in CNC machine programming and operation. Strong organisational and scheduling skills. Good estimating and pricing abilities. Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 15.00-22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.5 per week

Work Location: In person
