Job Description

A well established engineering firm is seeking an experienced CNC Operator to support their machine shop team on a permanent night shift.
You will be responsible for setting and operating CNC machinery to deliver high-quality components. Full training is provided, with a structured transition from day to night shift over six months.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set and operate and set high-speed CNC machines for milling, drilling, tapping, and grinding.
  • Read mechanical drawings and follow technical specifications with accuracy
  • Perform basic programme edits and adjust tool tables when required
  • Maintain accurate production records, including quantities and scrap data
  • Ensure tooling, fixtures, and CNC programmes are in place before production begins

Hours of work:
  • Monday - Thursday 40 hours per week - 8.30pm to 7.00am
Salary
  • 17.00 per hour during initial training (approx. 6 months) on day shift
  • 21.57 per hour upon moving to night shift, (including shift allowance)
