We are seeking a skilled Setter to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating and setting up various machinery, with a focus on precision and quality. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Setter will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment is set up correctly for production runs, maintaining quality standards, and collaborating with team members to achieve production goals.
Primary Responsibilities
Loading aerospace components to fixturing on a FASTEMS system.
Interacting with Matsuura 630 horizontal Machines to clear alarms and monitor and maintain/replace cutting tooling.
Adhering to safety & quality policies & procedures
Upkeep of the working area (6S).
Knowledge & Skills
Good Knowledge of CNC Milling on FANUC based machines.
Operating CNC milling machines with a good understanding of machining set-ups & processes.
Experience of working to tight tolerances.
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Able to carry out self-inspection of components.
Able to use and read basic measuring tools such as, Vernier calipers, Micrometers, Depth Micrometers, Height Gauges, Gauges, Shadow Graphs.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in quality control.
Previous warehouse experience is beneficial for understanding materials handling processes.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
Experience and Education
Good experience operating CNC milling machines is desirable, but training can be given for the right candidate.
Engineering experience is preferred but not essential if the above applies.
Job Types: Full-time, Temp to perm
Pay: 15.00-16.26 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 39 per week
